Rose Point Park Cabin and Camping

Located just north of Pittsburg is Rose Point Park Cabins and Camping. Here we completed a network optimization project aimed to enhance Wi-Fi reliability and performance while utilizing their existing infrastructure. The primary challenge was to improve connectivity and reduce interference caused by the inefficient meshing of access points. We began with a comprehensive assessment of the current Wi-Fi setup, mapping coverage areas and identifying performance issues. To address these problems, we introduced a 60Ghz point-to-point (PtP) network, installing new communication links that provided stable, high-bandwidth connections between key areas of the campground. This setup allowed us to integrate seamlessly with the existing access points, eliminating the need for inefficient meshing. After installation, we conducted thorough performance testing to ensure the new system met our objectives, making adjustments as needed for optimal results. The project led to significantly improved connectivity, enhanced coverage, and better overall performance. Campers now enjoy consistent Wi-Fi throughout the campground, with faster speeds and fewer dropouts.
