Mountain Creek Campground

Situated on the outskirts of Michaux State Forest is our largest campground design/build to date, Mountain Creek Campground. Boasting coverage to 310+ site and encompassing 30+ acres we completed this network overhaul while the park remained open through a multi-phase process. The project began with a thorough network site survey to evaluate the area’s connectivity requirements and a detailed plan and timeline was developed. Given the lack of cell phone coverage in the area, the need for a reliable Wi-Fi network became crucial, especially as more campers are working remotely from their vacation spots. This network was connected via a mixture of high-speed fiber optic backbones and several Ubiquiti 60Ghz Point to Point wireless bridges capable of delivering 1 gigabit connections without the need for cabling to each access point. This ensures a dependable and fast connection to the enterprise class Access Points. The phased approach facilitated a seamless implementation, addressing the growing demand for digital connectivity among campers who need to stay connected while enjoying the natural surroundings.
